Program Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Development - Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture degree program at Appalachian State University is designed to develop leaders in sustainable development. This program focuses on building food systems that provide healthy food and support local community life. Students will study fundamental ecological processes, analyze the ecological, economic, and cultural dimensions of complex food systems, and learn to develop sustainable food systems for all.
