Zero Energy Residential Construction Certificate
Overview
A certificate in Zero Energy Residential construction requires 18 hours. The certificate offering requires a minimum cohort size to be offered. If the cohort does not meet the minimum size, the application fee will be reimbursed. A minimum C (2.0) GPA overall is required in Zero Energy Residential Construction Certificate courses.
Course Requirements
The certificate consists of two main sections: Zero Energy Construction Foundations and Systems for Zero Energy Residential.
Zero Energy Construction Foundations (6 Hours)
- BSC 1414 - Quantifying Building Performance (3)
- BSC 2114 - Zero Energy Residential Construction Methods (3)
Systems for Zero Energy Residential (12 Hours)
- BSC 2420 - Building Science (3)
- BSC 3430 - HVAC Systems and Performance (3)
- TEC 3434 - Residential PV Plus Storage (3)
- BSC 3435 - Residential Energy Assessment (3)
