Indigenous Community Development and Governance

The Indigenous Community Development and Governance program is designed to prepare students for careers in Indigenous governments, communities, and organizations, or for public service roles that work with Indigenous citizens and governments. This program focuses on governance, management, and administration specifically in Indigenous settings, enabling students to contribute to the development and governance of Indigenous communities.

Admission

This is a minor program that can be added to your primary degree to broaden your studies. You can declare your minor after one or more years of full-time study at UVic. Your academic advisor can help you plan your courses to ensure you meet the requirements of both your major and minor programs.
