Program Overview

The Community Specialist Practitioner (Children's Nursing) Postgraduate Diploma is a 1-year full-time program designed to equip postgraduates with the skills required for community specialist practice. • Advanced Clinical Assessment Skills for Community Specialist Practice - Babies, Children and Young People: This module strengthens and develops the knowledge base in relation to conducting, interpreting, and evaluating complex health and social care needs for babies, children, and young people.
• Enhancing Care for Babies, Children and Young People Living with Life Limiting and Life-Threatening illness/condition: This module explores the evidence base in supporting babies, children, young people, and their families, acknowledging the impact of health inequalities and the importance of needs assessment.
• Transforming Community Specialist Practice through Research, Policy, Evidence and Evaluation: This module introduces research methods to transform current and contemporary community specialist practice, developing the ability to interpret and apply critical knowledge and appreciation of epidemiological research and contemporary health policy.
