Program Overview
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at the School of Government, Peking University, aims to cultivate high-level, innovative, and compound talents who can systematically grasp public administration and policy knowledge, apply analytical methods and techniques, and have the ability to analyze and solve complex public administration problems in a changing environment.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the MPA program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of the People's Republic of China.
- Uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, and have good moral character.
- Have a bachelor's degree or above.
- Have at least three years of work experience after graduation; or have obtained a master's degree or above and have at least five years of work experience after obtaining the bachelor's degree; or have obtained a doctoral degree and have at least two years of work experience after obtaining the degree.
Application Procedure
- Application Categories: The application category is for a full-time master's degree.
- Research Directions: The research directions include public administration and public policy.
- Application Materials: Applicants must provide various application materials, including a personal statement, diploma, transcripts, and letters of recommendation.
Admission Examination
The admission examination consists of two parts: the initial examination and the re-examination.
- Initial Examination: The initial examination is usually held in December and includes subjects such as management comprehensive ability and English.
- Re-examination: The re-examination is usually held in March and includes a comprehensive examination and an interview.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fee for the MPA program at Peking University is 129,000 yuan, which must be paid in two installments.
Physical Examination
All admitted students must undergo a physical examination. The physical examination is conducted uniformly at the beginning of the school year, and the specific time will be notified separately.
Academic Regulations
Students must comply with the academic regulations of Peking University and the School of Government. Any violation of these regulations will result in penalties, including expulsion.
