Advanced Professional Certificate in Cybersecurity and Data Governance

The Advanced Professional Certificate in Cybersecurity and Data Governance is designed to equip learners with the competencies to manage cybersecurity and data governance.

Programme Objectives

The programme objectives are to:

• Gain in-depth knowledge of the Data Protection and Do-Not-Call provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
• Operationalise key aspects of the Data Protection Management Programme such as governance and risk management, stakeholder engagement and data breach management
• Understand the foundations of cybersecurity, and explain the important key cybersecurity concepts and basic techniques
• Demonstrate how cyberattacks can target hosts, networks, and web servers and how the target systems can subsequently be hardened

• Learn to implement an effective business continuity plan and implement controls against potential security concerns
• Learn the essence of privacy engineering and ensure privacy frameworks, methodologies and techniques are being used to embed privacy into products and systems
