Programme Overview
The Facilitate Effective Workplace Learning for Healthcare Professionals (NUR-EWL) course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skill to build their capability as workplace learning facilitators. Upon completion of the course, the learners will be able to:
- Evaluate how the workplace learning facilitator (WPLF) interaction identities impact the enactment of the WPLF professional role.
- Develop effective communication skills to enhance workplace learning.
- Evaluate how the characteristics and learning styles of different groups of workplace learners have an effect on learning and to conduct effective facilitation to meet diverse profiles of learners.
- Apply appropriate workplace learning interventions to achieve the intended learner outcomes.
Aims of Programme
The course learning objectives are:
- Able to demonstrate coaching and mentoring skills to facilitate workshop learning and formulated action plans to develop coaching culture at the workplace.
- Able to serve as a role model for lifelong learning.
Programme Details
- Entry Requirements: 2 years of work experience in healthcare sector.
- Who Should Attend: Allied Healthcare professionals, Registered Nurses, Clinicians and University Educators in the healthcare related fields.
- Unique Value Proposition: This course will raise the standard of practice for the healthcare professionals through competent workplace learning facilitators, adopting best practices in workplace learning and performance assessment. Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies’ faculty expertise in clinical settings and education.
- Certification: Completion of this course: Certificate of Competency. Completion of the full series of the courses, participant will attain the Professional Certificate in Workplace Learning, Facilitation, Assessment and Management:
- Facilitate Effective Workplace Learning for Healthcare Professionals;
- Workplace Learning and Performance Assessment in Healthcare;
- Lead Workplace Learning and Development for Healthcare Professionals.
- Duration of Programme: 2 days
