Digital User Experience Design (Blended Learning)

The Digital User Experience Design (Blended Learning) program is an introductory course that focuses on the principles and techniques in the design of good user experience in software applications. It traverses through the requirement, analysis, design, and validation phases of the user experience design life cycle with emphasis on building empathy with users.

This course covers the importance of user experience, applying the user experience design process, developing empathy for users through user research methods, discovering and analyzing user needs, organizing information and designing the information architecture, applying design principles in interface, navigation, visual, and interaction design, ideating, creating, and validating prototypes, and applying usability test techniques.

Structure

• Course duration: 6 weeks online.
• Learners' time commitment: 3 to 4 hours per week.
• This course has 2 live online sessions and 2 coaching online sessions for group activities, discussions, feedback, and interactions.
• Throughout the course, learners are expected to actively contribute to the group activities and online discussions, and are encouraged to apply the knowledge learnt.

Things To Note

• Learners are expected to set aside time for group activities before and beyond the course.
• The NUS-ISS Certificate of Completion will be issued to learners who have met the course requirements successfully.
• All classes are subject to confirmation and NUS-ISS will send an acceptance email to learners one week prior to the commencement date.
• All responses to feedback and surveys conducted by NUS-ISS and its partners must be submitted by learners.
• All trainings and assessments will be delivered by NUS-ISS, as described in the course webpage.
