Program Overview
The Double Degree BA Economics program is designed to meet the honours requirements of the two disciplines in 5 years with at least 200 Modular Credits (MCs). In the case of single honours requirements, the degree structure is designed for students to complete in 4.5 years with a total of 180 Modular Credits (MCs).

The degree structure is as follows:

- GEMs (one from each of the 5 Pillars): 20 MCs
- Business Analytics Requirements: 76 MCs
- Core Modules: 52 MCs
- Elective Modules: 24 MCs
- Economics Requirements: 73 MCs
- Core Modules: 24 MCs
- Faculty Modules: 12 MCs
- Elective Modules: 37 MCs
- Common Modules: 16 MCs
- IS2101 Business and Technical Communication: 4 MCs
- EC1101E Introduction to Economics Analysis: 4 MCs
- MA1521 Calculus for Computing, or MA1102R Calculus: 4 MCs
- ST2334 Probability and Statistics: 4 MCs
- Thesis/Industry Internship: 15/27 MCs
- Students pursuing DDP with double honours can choose one of the following:
- Integrated honours thesis (either XFC4102 or XFA4406): 15 MCs
- Industry Internship Programme (for Business Analytics) and honours thesis (for Economics): 27 MCs
- Students pursuing DDP with double honours can choose one of the following:
- Total: 200/212 MCs
Single Honours Programme
The single honours programme requires students to take a minimum of 180 MCs for both BSc in Business Analytics (Hons.) — B.A. (Economics):
- University Level Requirements: 20 MCs

- Business Analytics Requirements: 76 MCs
- Core Modules: 52 MCs
- Elective Modules: 24 MCs
- Economics Requirements: 48 MCs
- Core Modules: 20 MCs

- Common Modules: 16 MCs
- IS2101 Business and Technical Communication: 4 MCs
- EC1101E Introduction to Economics Analysis: 4 MCs
- MA1521 Calculus for Computing, or MA1102R Calculus: 4 MCs
- ST2334 Probability and Statistics: 4 MCs
- Thesis/Industry Internship: 12 MCs
- Students pursuing DDP with single honours can choose one of the following:
- Honours dissertation (i.e., BT4101): 12 MCs
- Industry Internship Programme (for Business Analytics): 12 MCs
- Students pursuing DDP with single honours can choose one of the following:
- Unrestricted Electives: 8 MCs
- Total: 180 MCs
Notes
- USP/U-Town students are not required to read FAS1101.
- Students who are admitted into the DDP after the first year of studies are also required to read FAS1101, FAS1103, and CFG1002.
- Students in this DDP need not read and pass GET1050 Computational Reasoning to fulfil the University’s Computational Thinking requirement.
- EC1301 can only be used to satisfy the UE requirement but not the Social Sciences exposure requirements.
