The NUS Business School MSc in Sustainable and Green Finance Part-Time programme is 21 months long. Candidates are required to complete 40 units to graduate.

Course Descriptions
Core Courses
Corporate Governance and Sustainability
This course covers the key areas of corporate governance from the perspectives of investors, companies, and other stakeholders. It emphasizes the importance of good corporate governance as the foundation of sustainability.
Economics of Sustainability
This course introduces students to the economics of sustainability, providing a clear understanding of what it means to think like an economist. It applies economic tools towards questions of economic sustainability and environmental planning.
Foundational Corporate Finance
This course provides a theoretical and practical treatment of corporate financial theory, covering topics such as risk and return, capital budgeting, and real options.
Foundational Investments
This course presents the paradigm by which financial securities are valued and provides a framework for making investment decisions, covering topics such as the measurement of risk, diversification, and optimal portfolio selection.
Elective Courses
Carbon Accounting and Sustainability Reporting
This course introduces the fundamental concepts and applications of carbon accounting and sustainability reporting, essential components of effective sustainability management and sustainability investing.
Impact Assessment and Impact Investing
This course examines the role of impact investing in addressing societal issues, the motivation driving impact investors, and how to properly evaluate impact.
Sustainable and Green Investment
This course provides integrated perspectives on the topic of sustainable investment in the domain field of finance, covering the value implications of sustainability practices adopted by firms and those demanded by investors and financial institutions.
Sustainable Household Finance
This course studies how households make decisions relating to the consumption of utilities, how households respond to environmental factors, and how institutions provide goods and services to satisfy these financial functions of households.
Sustainability Risk Management
This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the sources of sustainability risks and financial tools, theoretical principles, and various risk management frameworks to manage these risks.
Sustainability in Supply Chain
This course endeavors to acquaint participants with fundamental concepts in cost/resource planning and profit optimization, aiming to enhance efficiency and risk management within companies, while providing a holistic understanding of sustainability within supply chain management.
Experiential Learning
Practicum
The practicum allows students to apply the concepts and frameworks learnt from the core and elective courses on the topics of sustainable and green finance in a real-world situation or environment. Students are expected to identify a gap or an application area in their current work environment and propose and recommend a suitable solution in the area of sustainable finance.
