Program Overview


Program Details

The Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) program is a postgraduate degree offered by the National University of Singapore. The program is designed to provide advanced training in internal medicine, with a focus on clinical practice and research.


Admission Criteria

To be eligible for the program, applicants must:


  • Be from Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Nepal, Myanmar, Australia, or New Zealand, or have graduated in medicine from one of these countries.
  • Have passed the MRCP (UK) Part 1 Written Examination.
  • Have a total of two years' experience, including at least four months in medical specialties or medical subspecialties, following the award of their primary medical degree.

Application Process

Applicants must submit separate online applications for the Final MMed (IM) Exam and the MRCP (UK) PACES Exam. The application process involves:


  • Submitting an online application via the Graduate Admission System (GDA3) for the Final MMed (IM) Exam.
  • Submitting an online application via the MRCP website for the MRCP (UK) PACES Exam.
  • Uploading supporting documents, including:
    • Additional Information Form.
    • Passport-sized photograph.
    • Certified true copy of primary medical degree and other relevant documents.
    • Official English translations of documents not in English.

Fees

The program fees are as follows:


  • Application fee: SGD 98.10 (non-refundable).
  • Examination fee: SGD 3,511.90 (excluding application fee).
  • Payment modes: PayNow, credit/debit card.
  • Notes:
    • All fees are in Singapore Dollars, including the prevailing Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate.
    • The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid at the time of application.
    • Successful applicants will be notified via email to accept placement and make the examination/programme fee payment.

Withdrawal Policy

The withdrawal policy is as follows:


  • All withdrawal and refund requests will be subject to a 10% administrative charge capped at SGD 500.00.
  • Requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days from the last day of the examination end date or before the programme commencement date.
  • Supporting documents must be submitted via email.
  • Refunds will be considered under certain circumstances, including medical, pregnancy, accident, or compassionate grounds.
  • Requests for refund under certain reasons, such as lack of preparedness or failure to arrange time away from work, will not be considered.

Programme Dates

The programme dates are as follows:


  • 2026/01 Diet: Saturday, 28 March 2026 to Tuesday, 31 March 2026.

Assessment/Examination

The examination is capped at 60 exam placements, with priority given to joint exam applicants who are:


  • In the Internal Medicine Residency Programme in Singapore.
  • Residing and working in Singapore.
