Executive Certificate in Healthcare Improvement via Informatics

The NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is offering bite-sized, credit-bearing courses to equip healthcare professionals with future-ready skills. These courses enable participants to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the areas of informatics, quality improvement, value-driven outcomes, and optimization of electronic medical records systems.

Programme Details

The content in these SSG-approved courses is contextualized based on Singapore's healthcare system to develop a more productive healthcare workforce. Healthcare professionals will greatly benefit by gaining new skills, expanding on their existing competencies, improving current processes in their respective job roles/domains, and delivering better care for patients.

Programme Structure

Participants who complete the following 4 courses will receive an 'Executive Certificate in Healthcare Improvement':

• HI5101: Health Informatics & Data Visualisation
• HI5102: How Informatics can enable ‘Value Based Healthcare’
• HI5103: Quality Improvement for Healthcare
• HI5104: How to make the most out of EPIC

Programme Dates

• HI5101: Health Informatics & Data Visualisation: 7 to 8 November 2025 (Online)
• HI5102: How Informatics can enable ‘Value Based Healthcare’: 13 to 14 November 2025 (Online)
• HI5103: Quality Improvement for Healthcare: 9 to 10 October 2025 (NUS, actual venue TBC)
• HI5104: How to make the most out of EPIC: Not conducted in 2025, next run will be in March/April 2026 (tentative schedule)

Application Period

The application period is from 06 May 2025 to 06 June 2025.

Candidature Period

The maximum candidature period for the Executive Certificate programme is 24 months.
