Program Overview


Operations Management (OPMG-UB)

The Operations Management (OPMG-UB) program at New York University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how firms can gain competitive advantage from their operations function. The program covers various aspects of operations management, including cost, quality, and ecological parity, responsiveness and adaptability to customer needs and desires, rapid time to market, process technology leadership, and sufficient and responsive capacity.

  • OPMG-UB 1: Operations Management: This course provides a problem-solving framework that enables students to undertake managerial and technical analysis to achieve comparative advantage. Both service and manufacturing case examples are utilized.

  • OPMG-UB 60: Real Estate Development and Entrepreneurship: This course introduces students to the operating process of real estate development from an entrepreneurial perspective, covering topics such as property acquisition, development, and management.
  • OPMG-UB 312: Operations in Panama: This course explores the major business operations within Panama, focusing on the operational management of the Panama Canal, and investigates the growing business sectors propelled by canal revenues, including real estate ventures and tourism.
  • OPMG-UB 9001: Operations Management: This course provides a comprehensive overview of operations management, covering topics such as cost leadership, quality superiority, time to market, responsiveness and adaptability, and process technology leadership.

Grading and Repeat Policy
