Since enrolling its first cohort of students in fall 2021, this program has been designed to prepare students for the dynamic, tech-driven business world.
A Robust Curriculum for the 21st Century
The Khubani BTE program strikes a unique balance of study, with business students gaining technological competencies and an entrepreneurial mindset—both essential to succeed in the 21st century. The program includes a wide range of courses, such as:
- Introduction to Computer Science
- Cohort Leadership Program I

- Elective courses that allow students to pursue their passions
Take On Real-World Challenges
Experiential learning is front and center in the Khubani BTE program. Students participate in:
- A weeklong design sprint in their first year, working alongside New York City start-ups to solve a business problem
- The required BTE Capstone course in their third year, where they work directly with established companies and early-stage start-ups or build their own ventures
- Projects that range from building innovative tech solutions and optimizing marketing campaigns to developing cutting-edge technology products or finding bold new use cases for existing technologies
Building on an Unparalleled Academic Core
The Khubani BTE program includes a trifecta of unique core elements:
- Business Tools: introduces students to fundamental business disciplines, such as statistics, microeconomics, and financial accounting
- Liberal Arts Core: provides a solid foundation in the liberal arts and sciences, sharpening critical quantitative skills and bolstering creative and logical thinking
- Social Impact Core: emphasizes writing, discussion, and debate to advance social responsibility in the business world, examining issues related to ethics, corporate social responsibility, and law in business
Find Your People and Pursue Boldness
The Khubani BTE program prepares students for a complex, often uncertain future through practical learning opportunities and rigorous coursework. The community is a key aspect of the program, with students from different backgrounds coming together to learn and grow from each other. The program is small, with only 30 to 50 students per year, but it provides a unique and supportive environment for students to explore their passions and pursue boldness.
