Overview
The Professional Master of Engineering program is designed to assist engineers and technical professionals in the development of their careers and to provide the expertise needed in the rapidly changing business, government, and industrial environments.
Program Description
The Cloud Engineering program will provide a deep understanding of cloud-based information and software systems. Students will learn the fundamentals of cloud technologies, including the Linux operating system, various system virtualization technologies, SQL and non-SQL databases, and Python coding skills. The program's electives allow for further specialization in cloud security, machine learning, Internet of Things, or software-defined networking. The program will prepare students for a career in cloud-based technologies in positions such as cloud system architect, cloud engineer, and cloud application developer.
Financial Assistance
Students in this program pay a special tuition rate, which does not differ between residents and non-residents of Maryland. This rate is not fully covered by graduate assistantships, fellowships, or tuition assistance. Additional graduate student fees are charged. Tuition and fees are subject to change.

Program Format
This program is currently offered in-person at the College Park Campus. In addition to in-person courses, you may have the option to take some course requirements in an online format.
