Graduate Program Overview
The University of Maryland offers a wide range of graduate programs, including master's and doctoral degrees, as well as certificate programs. Graduate Certificate Program in Scientific Computation
The Graduate Certificate Program in Scientific Computation is designed to give graduate students in other departments an opportunity to study modern computational methods and receive recognition for their extra efforts. This option is only available to students who are enrolled in a graduate degree program at the University of Maryland, College Park campus.
Program Requirements
To receive a certificate in "Scientific Computation", students must complete:
- Scientific Computing I & II
- Foundations of Parallel Computing
- One 3-credit application course, which may be in their primary field of study This totals 12 hours of course work, the University requirement for a certificate program.
