University of Maryland Institute of Applied Agriculture
The Institute of Applied Agriculture (IAA) at the University of Maryland offers various programs for students interested in agriculture and natural resources.
Undergraduate Programs
The IAA provides undergraduate programs in several areas, including:

Add-On Certificate
Currently enrolled University of Maryland students may earn an add-on certificate from the Institute of Applied Agriculture if they meet the following requirements:
- Meet the graduation requirements for the add-on certificate curriculum
- Earn a minimum of 15 additional, advisor-approved credit hours beyond the credits required for the completion of their degree major
- Take at least 12 credits of INAG-coded courses
- Successfully complete an internship (INAG288/INAG289 or equivalent), which requires 320 hours of on-site work
Students wishing to declare an add-on certificate must do so at least one semester in advance of graduation.
