English for Academic Success (EFAS)
Enhance your language skills through a Canadian university experience
The English for Academic Success (EFAS) program offers more than just English language instruction – it prepares you for success in the university environment and beyond. Designed for students planning to pursue university studies or looking to study abroad while improving their English, EFAS builds strong language and academic skills that reflect the demands of university and professional life. As an EFAS student, you will benefit from a variety of academic and personal supports so you can effectively develop your skills and improve your confidence in and across English language contexts.
Through dynamic coursework, students improve their integrated skills in English while also gaining valuable transferable skills such as critical thinking, research, and presentation skills. In EFAS, you also have the flexibility to explore your academic interests through your learning in the program, making the experience relevant and tailored to your learning goals.
Benchmarked to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), a global standard in English language proficiency, EFAS offers three levels:
- GOALS for EFAS
- EFAS level 300
- EFAS level 400
