Admission Requirements

• An honours bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a 75% average.
• Strong preparation in economics and mathematical tools, including:
  • Advanced microeconomics
  • Advanced macroeconomics
  • Advanced econometrics
  • Mathematical economics
  • Equivalent to two terms of calculus and one term of linear algebra.
• A GRE score is not required but is recommended for all international students applying to the program.

• References: Two academic references are required.
• Proof of English language proficiency, if applicable:
  • TOEFL 90 (writing 25, speaking 25)
  • IELTS 7.0 (writing 6.5, speaking 6.5)
• The Department of Economics does not consider international applicants with English language proficiency scores below the minimum requirements.
