The Collaborative Aeronautics PhD in Science in Kinesiology and Health Sciences is a doctoral program that offers an entirely new approach to tackling challenges facing the future of aviation, aerospace, and space. This program is located at the Lyle S. Hallman Institute for Health Promotion on Waterloo's main campus.

Admission Requirements

• A master's degree with a minimum 75% average in a relevant field (normally Kinesiology or a discipline related to their area of concentration)
• Letter stating research interests and why the student wishes to pursue graduate studies

Research Areas

The program focuses on advancing knowledge and skills in designated areas of kinesiology and health sciences, including biomechanics, neuroscience, or physiology and nutrition, through cross-disciplinary seminars, specialized graduate research seminars, comprehensive exams, and submitting research to peer-reviewed presentations and publications. The program also includes aeronautical training with Collaborative Aeronautics Program students from other fields, strengthening interdisciplinary skills to apply research towards impactful solutions.
