Program Overview


Master of Health Informatics Program

The Master of Health Informatics (MHI) program is a course-based curriculum that requires students to complete the following:


  • Seven core courses
  • Two electives
  • One 12-16 week (420 hours) practicum course (HLTH 640)

Program Structure

The MHI degree can be completed within two years for full-time students who take three courses per term (three terms per year). Part-time students take one course per term and must complete their degree within four years of initial program entry. Students who wish to increase their course load must change their status from part-time to full-time. All graduate students must maintain continuous registration for each term of the program.
