Program Overview

The Aging, Health and Well-being PhD program is designed to help students organize their progress through the program. The following tasks are the responsibility of the students.


Program Requirements

  • Complete required courses (normally completed in first two terms):
    • REC/KIN/HSG 750 (Fundamentals of Aging, Health and Well-Being)
    • Graduate level statistics or research methods course
    • Elective relating to aging, health and well being

    • REC/KIN/HSG 751 (Research Seminar)
  • For KIN and RLS students only – Select your Comprehensive Examination committee

  • Pass oral proposal defence (proposal to be on display for two weeks before defense)
  • Obtain ethics approval for data collection (if required)
  • Arrange examining board at last eight weeks prior to final defence
