Program Overview


Computational Chemistry Specialization

The Computational Chemistry Specialization allows students who want to acquire a chemistry degree with an additional focus on disciplines, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics. Students from the program obtain direct experience with computer code development and high performance computing tools via the various courses available to them and their work term placements. This is an outstanding asset to have in order to enter today’s workforce.


Computational Chemistry is an area that has seen a rapid growth in recent years, thanks to the increased power of high-performance computing infrastructure and the development of novel theoretical tools and algorithms. Large-scale computations, data analytics, and machine learning are becoming an integral part in several economic sectors and graduates from the Computational Chemistry Specialization will be well-prepared to adapt, contribute, and be creative in tomorrow’s employment market.
