Program Overview

Biomedical Engineering - Cell and Tissue Track

The Biomedical Engineering - Cell and Tissue Track is a joint program between Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) and Wheaton College (WC). This five-year program leads to a BA in Liberal Arts/Engineering from WC and a BS in Biomedical Engineering - Cell & Tissue Track from IIT.

Program Structure

The program is structured over ten semesters, with the first four semesters spent at Wheaton College and the remaining six semesters at Illinois Institute of Technology.

Program Requirements

• Total for Program: 162 credits (minimum)
• Note 1: See Humanities and Social Sciences requirements.
• Note 2: PHYS 231 and 232 (WC) = PHYS 123, 221 (IIT).
• Note 3: BME elective must be a 300+ level engineering course in BME, CAE, CHE, CS, ECE, or MMAE.
• Note 4: Consult your academic advisers regarding the completion of courses in a summer term to reduce your academic load in the fall or spring term.
• Note 5: A minimum of 45 semester hours must be completed at IIT.
