Course Description
The course covers a range of current and emerging topics within advanced manufacturing, including:
- Digital Manufacturing: Explore the use of digital technologies in manufacturing, including digital twins and simulation, and their role in solving industrial challenges.
- Additive Manufacturing: Learn about 3D printing technologies and their industrial applications.
- Smart Manufacturing: Learn about the integration of advanced sensors, automation, and AI in manufacturing and their potential to address industrial challenges.
- Sustainable Manufacturing: Discuss the strategies and technologies for making manufacturing processes more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
This knowledge is used to solve a real-world manufacturing challenge in a leading industrial company, Grundfos, in Bjerringbro, Denmark.

Accommodation, breakfast and dinner will be arranged in Bjerringbro. Staying in Bjerringbro will be free for the participants, except drinks which you will have to pay for yourself. Water is free. There will not be any social activities arranged by AU Summer University. There will not be a Summer University Information Desk on campus.
