“My goal was to become a physician with the ability to commercialize solutions that I came up with. Out of all the programs I looked at, the MTM degree was the only one that focused… on development past the early stages and provided the flexibility to customize the degree such that it was maximally useful for me.”
Megan Sullivan
Class of 2017
“Before the MTM program, I was working as a nurse at the bedside and realized I wanted to be a part of upstream innovation. I wanted to work on products that not only affected the patients I was caring for that day, but were a part of thousands of peoples’ lives. The MTM for me was a perfect combination of engineering, business, and clinical needs that get those products to patients.”
Hsin-Hung Chen

“I am a doctor with experience in running a business focused on medical device innovations. What MTM teaches correlates perfectly with my passion and profession. The abundant resources provided by both UC Berkeley and UCSF made the program even more appealing.”
