Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Accountancy with National Taiwan University (NTU)

Background

The City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and NTU launched this joint degree programme in 2012/13. The first batch of joint degree programme students graduated in 2016.

Schedule of Study

The joint degree programme has a four-year curriculum. In the first and fourth years, students study at CityU, whereas they take courses at NTU in their second and third years. The curriculum with a sample plan of study for students in the joint degree programme will be provided in due course.

After completing the curriculum requirements of both universities, students will earn two bachelor’s degrees – one from CityU and one from NTU.

Financial Arrangement

Students will spend two years in Taiwan. They will need to arrange for their own financing during their stay in Taiwan. They are not required to pay tuition fees to NTU (Partner University) but they will still be required to pay tuition fees to CityU (Home University). They will be responsible for their own accommodation and living expenses in Taiwan.

Eligibility

• Year-one accountancy major students of BBAU4 (4-year curriculum) in CityU;
• A minimum Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 in Semester A of their year 1; and
• Able to speak Mandarin (Putonghua) and can read Chinese.

Application

• Email invitation will be sent to eligible students around March.
• Shortlisted students will be invited for the selection interview.
