MSc in Business and Data Analytics (Quantitative Analysis for Business)

The MSc in Business and Data Analytics (Quantitative Analysis for Business) program is designed for students who want to pursue a career path where statistical data analysis has a significant role.

Introduction

The program welcomes students who have studied at least one undergraduate course in calculus or linear algebra. Applicants without a background in statistics and programming are also welcome.

Admission Requirements and Selection Criteria

• Graduates of non-English-speaking institutions must meet the following minimum English proficiency requirements:
  • TOEFL Score: a score of 59 (revised paper-delivered test) or 79 (internet-based test)
  • IELTS Score: 6.5 (overall band score)
  • CET6 Score: 450
  • Or equivalent
• TOEFL and IELTS scores are considered valid for two years. Applicants must provide their English test results obtained within the two years preceding the commencement of the University's application period.
• Admission consideration is based on the candidate's academic performance in previous studies, relevant working experience (if any), and the candidate's motivation and potential.

Credit Transfer

Students with postgraduate training from a recognized university can shorten their study via credit transfer. Credit transfer will be considered on a course-to-course basis and only for the core courses of the program. A maximum of 6 credit units can be transferred to the program.

Special Note to Mainland Applicants

Non-local students who have obtained an undergraduate or higher qualification in a full-time and locally-accredited program in Hong Kong may apply to stay/return and work in the HKSAR under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG).
