Program Overview
The Graduate Program at FAUUSP, established in 1971 for Masters and 1980 for Doctorate, is one of the oldest in the country. It is headquartered in a nineteenth-century mansion in the heart of São Paulo, a major metropolis in South America. This area has been the stage of socio-spatial tensions and transformations.
Program Aims
The Program aims to challenge researchers and urban professionals to participate in Brazilian social issues as citizens, a role inherent to the duties of a public university. The Program's multidisciplinary character is part of its historical commitment to all academic endeavors linked to Architecture and Urban Studies.

Program Structure
With more than one hundred registered advisors and almost five hundred students, the Program is a center of excellence in the field, linked to three school departments. Research is the Program's structuring and essential activity, which promotes innovation in the various fields of knowledge.
