The Engenharia de Produção course aims to form world-class engineers capable of leading management or technical processes in top companies, as well as entrepreneurship in startups. The course focuses on the design, modeling, implementation, operation, maintenance, and improvement of integrated production systems for goods and services, involving human resources, financial resources, materials, technology, information, and energy.
Course Description
The course covers a wide range of topics, including the specification, prediction, and evaluation of results from production systems, taking into account mathematical, physical, human, and social sciences knowledge, as well as engineering principles and methods. These activities are fundamental for improving the quality of life and competitiveness of the country.
Professional Insertion
Graduates can work in various organizations, such as automotive, chemical, and electrical industries, as well as in service and third-sector companies. Main activities include implementing and developing quality assurance systems, organizing and planning production flows, optimizing and rationalizing production processes, managing projects and innovation, and designing new factories or production processes.

Introduction
The Escola de Engenharia de Lorena (EEL-USP) is the only USP unit in the Vale do Paraíba, São Paulo state. It was established on May 29, 2006, from the transfer of academic activities from the extinct FAENQUIL - Faculdade de Engenharia Química de Lorena.
