Program Overview


Program Overview

The Program of Post-Graduation in Sciences of Rehabilitation at HRAC-USP offers both Master's and Doctoral degrees. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the field of rehabilitation, focusing on the theoretical and practical aspects of rehabilitation sciences.


Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the program, students must meet the following requirements:


  • For Master's degree: students must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and must have completed a minimum of 35 units of credit in disciplines.
  • For Doctoral degree: students must have a Master's degree in a relevant field and must have completed a minimum of 20 units of credit in disciplines.
  • For Doctoral degree (Direct): students must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and must have completed a minimum of 50 units of credit in disciplines.

Program Structure

The program is structured into two main components: coursework and research. Students are required to complete a minimum number of credits in disciplines, which include both compulsory and elective courses. The compulsory courses for Master's students include:


  • Bioethics
  • Biostatistics
  • Didactics in Higher Education
  • Embryology, Etiology, Epidemiology, and Prevention of Orofacial Clefts
  • Methodology of Scientific Research
  • Pedagogical Preparation
  • Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation of Orofacial Clefts

Evaluation and Assessment

Students are evaluated semestrally through their activity reports. The report is used to assess the student's progress and to provide feedback to the student and their advisor. The report must be submitted by the student and approved by their advisor.


Program of Improvement of Teaching (PAE)

The PAE is a program that consists of two stages: a pedagogical preparation course and a supervised teaching internship. Participation in the PAE is mandatory for students who receive a scholarship from CAPES.

The Compliance service is responsible for ensuring that the hospital's employees comply with the regulations and laws that govern their activities.

The Ombudsman service is responsible for receiving and forwarding complaints, suggestions, and compliments from students regarding the university's activities.
