Informática Biomédica – Ribeirão Preto
Description of the Course
The Informática Biomédica course at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP) offers 20 places per year in full-time study; it lasts 8 semesters and provides students with access to the scientific knowledge necessary for their work in different research, teaching, and health care scenarios, and who can benefit from the benefits of computerization and the application of information and communication technologies.
The Bachelor in Informática Biomédica
The course has 4 digital classrooms dedicated to the specific teaching of Informática Biomédica, and students work in various scenarios in laboratories of Bioinformatics and Genomic Medicine, Medical Imaging Informatics, Digital Health, and Biomechanics of the FMRP-USP complex.
Fields of Activity
Acting in multiprofessional teams focused on human health care in general. The academic structure includes disciplines of exact sciences, health sciences, computer science, and other areas that can help solve the complex problems of computerization existing in contemporary times.
