The Engenharia de Materiais program at the Escola de Engenharia de Lorena (EEL-USP) aims to form engineers with a profile to work in the area of research and development of materials with technological applications, with an inter and multidisciplinary vision of the traditional areas of Materials Engineering: Metalurgy, Ceramics, Polymers, and Composites.
Course Description
The course studies the relationship between the structure, properties, and performance of materials, aiming to obtain new applications or improve the quality of existing materials. The program covers a wide range of topics, from the basics of materials science to advanced topics in materials engineering.
Infraestrutura Física e de Apoio ao Estudante
The EEL-USP has a constantly evolving infrastructure, providing students with the best structure and practices for excellence in all its courses. The infrastructure includes plantas pilotos, laboratórios do Programa de Pós do DEMAR, and other facilities that contribute to the program's differential. The university also offers support services, such as transportation, a restaurant, a student support center, and a library.

The program offers 40 vacancies, with 30 vacancies for the FUVEST and 10 vacancies for the ENEM-USP. The vacancies are divided into:
- Ampla Concorrência: 18 vacancies (FUVEST) and 2 vacancies (ENEM-USP)
- Escola Pública: 7 vacancies (FUVEST) and 5 vacancies (ENEM-USP)

Introduction
The Escola de Engenharia de Lorena (EEL-USP) is a unit of the University of São Paulo (USP) located in the Vale do Paraíba region of São Paulo state. The school was established in 2006, following the transfer of academic activities from the former Faculdade de Engenharia Química de Lorena (FAENQUIL).
