The program in question is the Biological Chemistry Experiment A course, offered by the Zhejiang University Biology National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center.

Course Description

• The course is a foundational course for multiple majors, including but not limited to the School of Life Sciences, School of Science, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Instrument Science and Engineering, College of Agriculture and Biotechnology, College of Animal Sciences, and School of Food Science and Technology.
• It adopts a hybrid teaching model, combining online MOOC courses with offline experiments.
• The offline experiments include:
  • Basic comprehensive series experiments, focusing on the extraction, separation, purification, detection, and property identification of bioactive substances (enzymes).
  • Autonomous experiment design and practice, which includes topic selection guidance, opening reports, experimental practice, and closing reports.

Course Objectives

Through this course, students are expected to:

• Systematically master the basic principles, methods, and technical skills of biological chemistry experiments.
• Develop good experimental habits and the ability to systematically analyze scientific problems.
• Possess initial capabilities in designing and completing experimental projects.
