Introduction to the Stanford Anesthesiology Residency Program

The Stanford Anesthesiology Residency program is committed to providing rigorous clinical education, nurturing residents to deliver compassionate, equitable patient-centered care, and cultivating future leaders in the field. The program values and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion for its staff, residents, fellows, and faculty.

Program Overview

Residents in the program receive broad clinical training across four hospitals, are taught by supportive faculty who are leaders in their field, have dedicated didactics using innovative teaching methods, and receive mentorship and resources to pursue their passions and interests within medicine and anesthesiology.

The program will have 100% virtual interviews for the residency application cycle. Interviews are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in October, November, December, and January.
