Introduction to the Stanford Dermatology Residency Program
The Stanford Dermatology Residency Program is a comprehensive and academically robust program that aims to provide residents with a well-rounded and unique clinical training experience. Program Overview
The program is based in the Northern California paradise, which is also the heart of global technology and innovation. The department has the largest full-time faculty of any department in the field, providing residents with a strong foundation in general medical, complex medical, pediatric, surgical (including Mohs micrographic surgery), procedural, and cosmetic dermatology.
Clinical Training
Residents receive clinical training at various teaching sites, including new outpatient clinic facilities, a university-based adult hospital, a children's hospital, a nationally-recognized VA medical center, and a local county hospital. This diverse range of clinical settings allows residents to learn how various medical systems work and care for different patient populations.
