CSE444: Database Systems Internals
The CSE444 course focuses on the relational data model and the SQL query language. Key topics include conceptual modeling, such as entity/relationships and normal forms, as well as XML, XPath, and XQuery. The course also covers transactions, including recovery and concurrency control, and the implementation of a database system. A medium-sized project using a rational database backend is a significant component of the course.
