Program Overview
The Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies offers various programs for undergraduate and graduate students.
Undergraduate Program
- The undergraduate program includes a hands-on study of the craft of dramatic writing, examining the basic elements of playwriting such as plot, structure, theme, character, dialogue, and setting.
- Students can enroll in courses like DRM228H1 Playwriting I, which focuses on story-making and the development of students' own work through written assignments and in-class exercises.
- To enroll in DRM228H1, students must be Drama Majors or Drama Specialists who have completed DRM101Y1, and space is limited to 20 students.
- If admitted, students must also enroll in DRM220Y1 as a co-requisite during the 2025/26 school year.
Graduate Program
- The graduate program includes MA and PhD options, with program requirements, tuition and funding information, scholarships, and awards available.
- The MA program requires students to complete specific program requirements, and tuition and funding information is available.
