Young Scholars Program
Program Overview
Introduction to the Young Scholars Program
The UCSD CREATE Young Scholars Program is a family-paid enrichment program provided by UC San Diego CREATE for students in grades 1-12. It offers an opportunity for young people to continue practicing and learning during the summer and to explore novel topics and interdisciplinary instruction tailored to their unique grade level and interests on the UC San Diego campus.
Program Goals and Objectives
The primary goal of the Young Scholar Program is to provide a learning opportunity for students to experience the enjoyment and power of learning in an environment distinct from the traditional school day. It is also a phenomenal opportunity for educators to enjoy the creativity and freedom to educate kids outside of the confines of the classroom, state standards, and traditional assessments.
Program Theme
This Summer 2025, the theme of the Young Scholars Program is "Igniting Curiosity."
