Program Overview

The post-baccalaureate certification program in Secondary Education General Science is designed for individuals who possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and want to teach General Science (7-12) in Pennsylvania.

Program Details

• The program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).
• Students who successfully complete the program requirements will be recommended for certification as a Secondary General Science Instructional I teacher.
• An M.Ed. degree in Teaching and Curriculum may be attained after certification coursework has been completed.
• Students may apply 12 credits of their certification courses toward the Master of Education degree in Teaching and Curriculum.
