Introduction to the Honors in the Humanities Program

The Honors in the Humanities (HTH) program is an interdisciplinary honors program designed for students who wish to explore and understand the origins and history of our contemporary artistic and intellectual culture. Established over 30 years ago, HTH is the oldest honors program at Queens College.


Program Description

The HTH Minor is interdisciplinary in design and covers a broad range of fundamental works of literature, religion, history, philosophy, and art. It complements majors in any division of the college, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the humanities.


Program Requirements

To graduate with Honors in the Humanities, students must take at least six out of the eight courses offered by the program. Additionally, students have the option to write a senior thesis.
