Program Description
The public and nonprofit field includes organizations that exist for the benefit of the public rather than enriching private citizens. These include human services, arts and culture, community recreation, health, education, and government agencies. There is a great need for people with business training to keep these organizations functioning and continuing to serve the public.
Real World Experience and Connections
Students in the program have been interning at nearby organizations, gaining practical experience, making connections, and getting credit towards their major. The Corporate Engagement Club enhances students' career competencies in the area of corporate citizenship, networking, and career building. Guest speakers inform and advise students in this field.
Continuing Your Education
The BMCC Public and Nonprofit concentration articulates with bachelor's degree programs at other colleges, meaning BMCC credits will be accepted and students can seamlessly continue their studies.
