Electrical Engineering Science Program
The Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering Science is a jointly registered, dual admission program with the existing Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (B.E./E.E.) at the City College of New York.
Program Description
The program has been designed to meet the licensure guidelines of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). It provides Hostos Community College students with the same curriculum as the first two years of the licensure qualifying electrical engineering program required at the City College of New York. Upon successful completion of the lower division at Hostos, students will have a seamless transition to the upper division of the baccalaureate program at the City College of New York.
Program Structure
- Students will enroll in existing science and mathematics courses at Hostos Community College.
- Students will also enroll in two engineering courses at the City College of New York.
- The program facilitates a collegial transition to the professional portion of the curriculum.

Program Outcomes
The Electrical Engineering Science program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in electrical engineering, preparing them for a seamless transition to a baccalaureate program and eventual licensure as professional engineers.
