Program Overview


Degree Program Details

The York Dual/Joint Degree Program offers an A.A.S. in Nursing (QCC) leading to the B.S. in Nursing (York College/CUNY).


Admission Requirements

Admission to the program is extremely competitive and will be based on the student's GPA and overall academic work. A student must receive a faculty recommendation indicating a strong clinical performance in NU-101, NU-102, or NU-201.

  • Overall GPA: 3.0
  • Course grade: C+

Degree Maps

The program offers two degree maps:


  • A.A.S. in Nursing with Developmental Placement
  • A.A.S. in Nursing No Developmental Placement

Student Learning Outcomes for Academic Programs

Upon completion of the program, the graduate will:


  1. Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviors consistent with the standards of practice and regulatory frameworks of the registered professional nurse.
  2. Provide safe, effective, and competent nursing care.
  3. Assess patients in a culturally sensitive manner.
  4. Provide patient-centered nursing care.
