Scholars also have the responsibility to exercise this right by utilizing available College and Program services and resources, including advisement, scholar life, and engagement.

The MSW Program at CUNY York College offers a variety of opportunities for scholars to participate in formulating and modifying policies affecting academic and student affairs and to organize events around their interests, including the hiring process, evaluation of faculty teaching, and field agency settings. The York College graduate student scholar body plays an active role in every aspect of program leadership, advocacy, and community engagement including college committees, including curriculum, standing, and ad hoc committees, councils, and student (scholar) groups to provide scholars opportunities to participate in shared governance with faculty members.
