M.D./M.S. in Global Medical Sciences

The Master of Science in Global Medical Sciences program offers specialized training for aspiring health care professionals who are passionate about global health. Created in partnership with the Miller School’s Department of Medical Education and the Global Institute, this one-year program gives globally-minded students the skills and knowledge to tackle medical challenges worldwide — and in underserved communities closer to home.


Program Details

The M.S. in Global Medical Sciences takes an interdisciplinary approach that fosters collaboration across disciplines. The 30-credit degree program is hybrid, consisting of a mix of online coursework and experiential learning. Students will take foundational courses on ethics, global health challenge and interprofessional health care, then choose electives based on their interests and goals.
