Detailed Requirements
Online Application
The online application portal is available for viewing, along with deadlines.

Essays are found within the online application. Every Miami Herbert applicant has one similar essay, and the second essay is program-specific.
Transcripts
All documents related to transcripts should be submitted through the application portal. Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded to expedite application evaluation, while official transcripts are required.
GMAT/GRE Test Scores
While GMAT and GRE test results are not mandatory for master's programs, submitting an unofficial test score can be beneficial for securing the maximum merit-based scholarship. PhD programs require GMAT or GRE scores and do not consider waivers.
- GMAT Code: 7NV-S1-96
- GRE Code: 5815
Only test scores received electronically from the testing service are considered official.
Language Proficiency Test Scores
Applicants who did not receive a high school diploma or bachelor's degree in the United States or a foreign country where English is not the primary language must submit a TOEFL score, IELTS score, or Duolingo English Test score with the following scores:
- TOEFL - 94 or above (iBT only)
- IELTS - 7.0 or above
- Duolingo English Test - 125 or above
If English is not the native language, the TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo requirement may be waived if the applicant holds an undergraduate or graduate degree from an academic institution within the United States or from one of the English-speaking countries listed on the Graduate School listing for English Proficiency Requirements.
Resume
The required resume should be submitted electronically within the application portal, including full-time employment, volunteer work, internships, part-time work, education, other skills, and hobbies.
Interview
Interviews are by invitation only and take place prior to the Admission Committee's final decision. Interviews provide an ideal opportunity to present a different view of credentials to the admissions committee. Currently, all interviews are being conducted virtually by either an admissions staff member, current student, or Academic director. They are conducted in English and typically take 30 minutes.
Letters of Recommendation
Chosen recommenders must complete the recommendation forms associated with the online application. Miami Herbert will not accept any other format of recommendation. It is best to use the recommender's work email address rather than personal accounts.
