Program Overview
Health Careers Motivation Program
The Health Careers Motivation Program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine will be held from June 15, 2026 to June 26, 2026. The program allows students to explore the physician profession and strengthen their medical school applications through simulation education, clinical exposure, and admissions guidance. University of Miami Miller School of Medicine faculty, residents, and students offer advising and mentorship.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- U.S. citizen or eligible residency or citizenship status to qualify for federal financial aid.
- College sophomore, junior, senior, master’s student, or recent graduate (within the last two years).
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate science or premed coursework.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.2

How to Apply
Only complete applications will be reviewed. All supporting documents must be submitted by the application deadline (no exceptions). Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
- Write a Personal Statement (maximum of 400 words) explaining why you wish to participate in the Health Careers Motivation Program. Be sure to highlight your personal and professional goals and any personal attributes or experiences that would be deemed desirable for a career in medicine.

- Current Resume/CV
- Copy of government issued photo ID or university student ID card
- (2) Letters of Recommendation
- Letters of recommendation should be submitted on an official letterhead and at least one letter must come from a science professor. All letters of recommendation must be emailed by the recommender directly to the Office of the Assistant Dean for Community Engagement. The deadline for submitting letters is Friday, February 20, 2026.
