The Podcast Foundations Course is a high-level, proactive 6-week curriculum that guides participants through all facets of starting a podcast, growing an audience, leveraging a personal brand, and monetizing a platform. Led by Andre Dunand, Founder of Stay Tranquilo Network, this course equips creators with the mindset, tools, and strategy to launch and scale a successful podcast.
Program Objectives
Through expert instruction, applied skills practice, and industry insights, participants will:
- Identify their unique voice and brand to differentiate themselves in the marketplace
- Learn the necessary steps to launch a podcast
- Understand equipment, scheduling, and distribution requirements
- Market their podcast and grow an engaged audience
- Drive monetization opportunities for their podcast and personal brand
Outcomes and Values
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Be able to record and distribute a podcast
- Understand what is necessary for a successful podcast and how to grow their audience
- Recognize the importance of "the mission" behind their podcast and why consistency is key
- Identify the mindset required to successfully launch and maintain a podcast
- Record their first "trial episode"
- Create all relevant social media handles and necessary accounts to begin the podcast

- Format: 6 weeks | Weekly live sessions with hands-on exercises
- Delivery: Live online with access to recordings for review
- Certificate Received: Podcasting Certificate of Completion
- Cost: $5,250* Tuition reimbursement is available for those who qualify

Weekly Themes
- Week 1 – Discovering Your Why & Defining Your Unique Voice
- Define your "why" for podcasting
- Identify your unique story, perspective, or culture
- Clarify your target audience and why they should care
- Activities: Self-reflection worksheet, audience persona creation, podcast identity statement
- Week 2 – Crafting the Concept & Format
- Choose your niche/category
- Learn storytelling techniques and engaging content creation
- Define format: solo, co-hosted, interviews, seasonal, etc.
- Outline a 10-episode content arc
- Activities: Episode structure template, brainstorm session, podcast name & tagline development
- Week 3 – Pre-Production & Scheduling Systems
- Build a podcast workflow calendar
- Plan recording logistics (solo, remote guests, in-studio)
- Prep scripting and outlining system
- Activities: Production calendar, guest booking templates, pre-show checklist
- Week 4 – Production: Tools, Techniques & Recording Essentials
- Understand essential gear (mic, interface, software)
- Set up recording environment for quality sound
- Learn basic audio editing and episode packaging
- Activities: Gear breakdown, Audacity/Adobe Audition walkthrough, practice recording & editing a test episode
- Week 5 – Distribution & Launch Strategy
- Choose a podcast host & set up show details
- Submit to Apple, Spotify, Google, YouTube
- Design a launch plan with teasers, trailers, and rollout strategy
- Activities: Distribution platform comparison, show artwork & trailer episode creation, launch checklist
- Week 6 – Growth, Marketing & Monetization
- Build a cross-platform content strategy (TikTok, IG, YT Shorts)
- Learn podcast analytics and track growth
- Explore monetization opportunities: sponsorships, merch, Patreon, network deals
- Activities: 30-day social content plan, sponsor pitch deck, monetization roadmap, record a teaser episode
- BONUS – Reviewing Episode 1 / Capstone (Optional Week 7)
- Record a live episode in-studio or remotely to showcase what participants have built
