Program Overview


Master of Science in Actuarial Science

The Master of Science in Actuarial Science equips students with the tools, skills, and knowledge to excel in today’s rapidly evolving actuarial workplaces, with a course of study that anticipates and exceeds industry needs. For the part-time option, students take courses on Columbia’s New York City campus. The program takes up to three years to complete and will be offered in the fall and spring. This course of study covers main actuarial paths and prepares students for the associate actuarial examinations of SOA and CAS.

Professional Licensure and Certification Disclosure Requirements

The School of Professional Studies Actuarial Science program prepares students for the associate actuarial certification examinations of Society of Actuaries and Casualty Actuarial Society and thereby does meet the academic requirements for certification in all 50 states.
